Our History
Woodwork Passion Beyond Time, Crafting Legacies for Generations
Our journey in woodworking traces back to previous generations when Italian immigrants arrived in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, establishing sawmills to work with wood, a craft passed down through the years. In this lineage, Antonio Presotto, the third generation, ventured to open a small custom furniture factory in November 1987. Specializing in tailor-made furniture and aided by his father, Alcides Presotto, a seasoned carpenter with extensive woodworking knowledge, they cultivated a team of highly skilled craftsmen capable of producing furniture of exceptional quality.
During this period, our furniture found its way to markets in North America (USA and Canada) and, notably, to the United Kingdom, where our main clientele is based. We take immense pride in our journey and the relationships we have built, staying committed to the production of high-quality, solid pine furniture destined for homes across the globe.
As time progressed, the business expanded beyond custom-made furniture, venturing into the production of mass-produced items. In March 2003, Luthag Furniture Industry was founded with the primary goal of crafting solid pine wood furniture exclusively for export. Throughout the years, a variety of furniture pieces were created, including bedside tables, bookshelves, CD/DVD cabinets, tables, and headboards. However, the flagship product that became the pride of the company is the production of solid wood beds
